Current Opportunity for PhD Candidate

We are recruiting a highly qualified PhD trainee who is interested in pursuing patient-oriented knowledge translation research using digital media. The successful candidate will enrol in the Rehabilitation Sciences Graduate Program at UBC as a PhD trainee under the supervision of Dr. Linda Li.

The successful candidate will work with a cross-Canada team on an arthritis model of care project. Funding is available through research grants to support the candidate. In addition, the candidate will be mentored to apply for university, provincial and national scholarship awards.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in health sciences, health services research, medical sociology, or a relevant field. The following will be an asset:

  • Experience in working with patients and health professionals.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies, participant recruitment, and data management.
  • Evidence of publications and presentations at scientific meetings.
