Drs. Allyson Jones & Linda Li guest co-edit a special issue of Clinics in Geriatric Medicine

Drs. Allyson Jones and Linda Li were invited to co-edit a special issue of Clinics in Geriatric Medicine on total joint arthroplasty. Published this month, the journal will attract clinicians working with the increasing numbers of older patients undergoing the surgery.

Outstanding international authors (including CIHR-funded Post-Doctoral Fellow at University of Alberta and trainee at the Arthritis Research Centre of Canada, Marie Westby) have contributed to the issue, which highlights exceptional advances in surgical techniques and recent evidence for effective management of patients with joint arthroplasty.

Drs. Jones and Li selected topics that centre on a patient perspective, such as patient satisfaction of the procedures and health-related quality of life, and encourage future research that will improve access to care for hard-to-reach patients.
